Tucked beneath the roof of a historic Belgrade building, this small apartment is a rare example of
how just 30 square meters can become a thoughtfully designed and atmospheric living space. The
project began with an ambitious goal: to create a beautiful yet highly functional interior without a
sense of constraint, while preserving the logic of the original layout.
The existing circular flow around a central wall became the foundation of the spatial composition.
Without structural alterations, a sequence of zones was created — from the entry and kitchen to the
dining area, workspace, and bedroom, which can be isolated when needed.
To preserve natural light in the sleeping area, the bedroom door is made of glass and designed as a
sliding panel, a light solution that does not occupy valuable space.
The interior is defined by a soft palette of gentle greens and grays, creating a calm and intimate
atmosphere. The renovation was technically complex, including the installation of heating, roof
repairs, and full custom furnishing. Bespoke furniture allowed every centimeter to be used
efficiently, transforming the compact attic apartment into a cohesive, comfortable, and visually
light urban home.
